Fun for kids in Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona is a fun destination for all ages, and if you’re bringing a bunch of kids round Phoenix on a trip, get a coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus chartered from Charter Bus Phoenix. A charter bus will make planning your trip so much easier, especially if you’re trying to control a group of children.
Children just love riding on a charter bus, and you will definitely need to keep them entertained with some interesting sights and attractions that cater to their interests. One of Phoenix’s more interesting sights is the Mystery Castle. This curious building was built in 1945 by a miner for his daughter. He constructed over a period of 15 years out of materials he found in dumps and scrap heaps, and when finally finished, had 13 rooms and 8 fireplaces, but no running water. Everything in the Mystery Castle was previously used, and is a good lesson in the benefits of reuse and recycling of materials.
Opened in 1962, the Phoenix Zoo is the largest non-profit zoo in the United States. Easily reached by charter bus in the Papago Park area of Phoenix, this zoo covers 125 acres of land. The Phoenix Zoo has over 1,300 animals on display, and contains 2.5 miles of walking trails. It is divided into 4 main areas, the Arizona Trail, which highlights American Southwest flora and fauna, the Tropics Trail, containing residents of the rain forests, the Africa Trail where visitors can view animals from that continent and the Children’s Trail, which includes a petting zoo. Stingray is a 15,000 gallon touching pool where visitors can get up close and personal with cownose rays and Southern Stingrays. There is also a Safari train that provides a non stop tour of the Zoo. The Zoo is known for its conservation and captive breeding programs, notably that of the seriously endangered California Condor.
The Phoenix Children’s Museum is a good place to spend half a day out of the charter bus and let the kids run around. This fabulous museum has lots of interactive displays and exhibits that cater to children, but will also prove fascinating to adults. Center stage is a 3 storey high metal treehouse that encourages kids to climb and explore all its nooks and crannies. The Phoenix Children’s Museum believe that education should be fun, and delivers that message through a multi sensory interactive experience.
For a dose of family sized fun, take your charter bus over to Castles N’ Coasters. One of the oldest amusement parks in Phoenix, Castles N’ Coasters has constantly upgraded over the years to keep visitors coming back for more. The roller coaster provides lots of thrills with its turns and corkscrews, and there is a zipline that gives riders a bird’s eye view of the park. Other attractions include mini golf, go-kart racing, a wet log ride and arcades.
